Row 2: purl except for the edges, there are 150 stitches left in total.
Then make the fancy stitch as explained in the tutorial until you have 22 cm. long. Finally work 12 rows of Santa Clara stitch for the border. Cut the thread and lose.
SLEEVES:
Both sleeves are knitted in the same way.
Take up the sleeve stitches (58 stitches). At the beginning of row 1 and row 2 cast on 3 stitches, there are a total of 64 stitches left (knit as explained in the tutorial).
We continue with the fancy stitch that on the sleeve is a multiple of 8+6, there are 2 stitches left over, therefore we work the rows as follows.
Row 1: knit 1. st, purl, 5 st. right; * 4 p. rev., 4 p. right,* repeat the sequence between * for 7 times; then 1 p. right and 1 p. rev.
Row 2: knit 6 p, purl; * 1 p. right, 2 p. rev., 1 p. right, 4 p. rev.* repeat the sequence between * for 7 times; then 2 p. rev.
Row 3 and 5: knit as row 1.
Row 4 and 6: knit as row 2.
Row 7: knit 2 p, purl; * 4 p. rev., 4 p. right,* repeat the sequence between * for 7 times; and 6 p.m. rev.
Row 8: knit 2. st, purl; * 1 p. right, 2 p. rev., 1 p. right, 4 p. rev.* repeat the sequence between * for 7 times; then 1 p. right, 2 p. rev., 1 p. right and 2 p. rev.
Row 9 and 11: knit as row 7.
Row 10 and 12: knit as row 8.
Row 13: knit 1st, p, 1 dec. single, 3 p. right; * 4 p. rev., 4 p. right,* repeat the sequence between * for 6 times; then 4 pm rev., 3 p. right, 2 p. together and 1 p. rev.
Row 14: knit 5 p, purl; * 1 p. right, 2 p. rev., 1 p. right, 4 p. rev.* repeat the sequence between * for 7 times; and 1 p. rev.
Row 15: Set row 3 as explained in the tutorial.
From this row we continue knitting the other rows as explained in the tutorial. (for example: row 16 equals row 4, etc.)
Work the fancy stitch until it is 24 cm. long. Then work 10 or 12 rows of Santa Clara stitch for the border. Cut the yarn and sew the sides of the sleeve.
Finally sew the buttons and open the buttonholes.
